DVD Transfers

Do you have old VHS tapes that you want put onto a DVD?

Would you like the convenience of a DVD Menu that enables you to skip to the event you’re trying to find instead of fast-forwarding through hours of tape? Do you want your endless hours of VHS footage consolidated onto three or four DVD’s? We can transfer your VHS, 8mm, Hi8, VHS-C, or MiniDV tapes to DVD, ensuring that the priceless memories on VHS will last a lifetime on DVD.

How to get started

A lot of this project falls on your shoulders. To get this project going you will want to go through your tape collection and pick out the tapes you want transferred. Next, grab a piece of paper and a pencil to write with. Starting from the beginning of each tape, select the clips you want transferred while writing down how long each clip is and where it takes place on the tape. You can either mark this by writing down the time when the clip started and when it ended by watching the time counter on your VCR or camcorder, (make sure to rewind the tape and reset the timer before writing these down), or as last a resort, indicate and describe the clip before and after the clip you want used. If you want the entire tape transferred, just write that down.

Sound confusing? It really isn’t, it just takes a little organization and your time will pay off. VHS tapes break down after only 10 or 15 years of use. With the a life expectancy of almost seven times that, the transferring to DVD is such a perfect way to consolidate all of your children’s sporting events, family vacations or special events or to simply just free more storage space and save more time by offering you a quick and easy way to find and watch all of your family’s treasured memories.
